The summer is flying by! Before we know it, Zac will be attending class and I'll be back with my little first graders! But I'm excited for both of us, and I think it would be fair to say we have had a great summer full of McCall trips, salmon fishing, local outings, bbqs, car races, concerts and movies!
Last week Zac gave his notice that he would be using his GI bill and going back to school full time. Fortunately, they countered his notice with an option of working as a flex employee. This is not only great news for us financially for the time being, but in the long run, since Zac is looking into some sort of medical field he will continue to maintain his employee status, which could be very beneficial when he graduates and is looking for a job. Good things come to hard workers! Good Job Zac!
In the past couple of weeks I took a few days and got my classroom ready. I rearranged the furniture and desks, cleared off and cleaned my desk and put away all of the books stacked on the countertops. The carpet is in and looks great! I am definitely looking forward to teaching and using all the ideas I gained from grad school, but more so I am definitely looking forward to teaching without being in grad school!
