Billy

Billy flew in last Friday (July 2, 2010) . We had originally planned on sticking around the Boise area, but if you know Zac and I well enough...you know it doesn't take much for us to head out of town on a whim. So, around 1:30 Friday afternoon we decided to head up to McCall to spend the weekend with Jonathan and Anna. While Zac picked up Billy at the airport, I hurried and packed and ran to the store for some last minute groceries to get us through the weekend, and with Fred Meyer's 2 for 1 special on beer (haha) we were ready to have a great weekend! As soon as the boys got back to the house we were on our way north.
Friday night we enjoyed some delicious spaghetti with elk sausage, beer, wine and some fun games. We introduced Billy to our favorite game of "Things," which I think he ended up winning. After Things we played a few rounds of Apples to Apples and Zac without any competition took home the win in that game. Both games provided a great night of laughs, reminiscing and stories!
Saturday was pretty low key. Kaili, Kristin, Mo, Kirtley, Zeb and Matt all stopped by for the afternoon and we just hung out around the newly built campfire and chatted. Finally, around 6:00ish we headed into town and stopped by Kaili's new house. What a beautiful house. Eventually, we made the 20 foot trek down to Perseos' and Craig fired up the bbq for some delicious grilled trout and salmon. Around 11:30pm we made our way into town. First stop Forresters. Second stop SRB. Final destination...Lardos. It was fun to hang out in a low key environment with just the local guys from McCall. It was good seeing old faces. Zac and Billy made friends with Jared Howard and got a free Lardos sweatshirt by nights end. They are in the works of finding a Marine Corps flag to hang in Lardos in return. Levi even taught Zac the redneck version of Ro-Sham-Bo and it was pretty funny watching them in the middle of the bar get so serious about the actions! All of the boys enjoyed fun games, lots of beer, random shots, pool....and just being boys. By 2:30ish we called it a night and headed home.
Sunday we woke up, packed up and headed home, despite wanting to stay, we had plans in Boise and needed to get back to town for the 4th. It was a great weekend, full of good people, good drinks and good conversation!
