Challis

On our way up to Challis...

The Sawtooths
Zac and I went to Challis for a long weekend of steelhead fishing and a little rest and relaxation. We joined Zac's family up there and had a nice weekend with his parents, sister, grandparents, aunt and uncle. They all left Sunday and we enjoyed a couple of days visiting with his Grandpa. Zac caught 4 or 5 steelhead, but it was pretty slow.

Every fishing hole was busy with fisherman, but the fish weren't biting. Regardless, it was a nice trip. We even made a visit up to the Pashimeroi Fish Hatchery, a must every time we're in Challis for fishing. We took up our new game Things, which provided hilarious conversation starters Saturday night. Zac, Grandpa and I had a game night, Monday night. I am the reigning champion of Phase 10, while Zac and his grandpa beat me at Mexican Train. The dogs loved running free, have the doggie door down and even enjoyed a couple of days at the river fishing. Remmy and Rio playing tug-a-war with the frisbee
Rio's pooped...but he's living the life of a happy dog!

Last day of fishing...woke up to snow...wishing we could stay longer!
As always, we enjoyed good company, great conversations, some red wine and delicious food.
The view from the cabin...a piece of heaven...can't wait to go back!
